BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
We walk through our days believing in the Performance of Life. The "hello" at the coffee machine, the smile, the handshake, the greatest hits on Instagram.
What about what we hide from the light? The hypocrisy, the quiet addiction, the inner conflict, the shame, the grief...
Behind Closed Doors shines a light on the hidden aspects of life.
3 original theatre plays from Berlin playwrights sharing their unique perspective on the theme.
THE PLAYS:
Blackout, by David Coyle
Tobias is a politician running for election, he promises change but carries something hidden. Greta is a leading Professor of Jungian thought who desires harmony and healing. Can these two find a way to coexist? A short play on bringing the shadow into light.
Woman/Body, by Roberta Sgariglia
A woman moves into a new apartment. As she unpacks the boxes of her past, her inner world comes alive: younger selves, inherited voices, and buried sensations surface. Through memory and reconnection with her body, she reclaims a voice that was long suppressed.
666, by Alex Casadio
An intense family history unravels during the last months of the terminally ill mother Louise, while her sons Arthur and Michael struggle to reconcile past and future. A play about how things change when circumstances change.
